UNLV study: Students perform better with attractive teachers...

A UNLV study has found that students perform better in school if their teacher is good looking.

UNLV researchers designed a simple experiment. College students listened to an audio lecture while viewing a photograph of the instructor. There were two photos -- one of a physically attractive instructor and one who was less attractive.

After listening to the audio, the students then took a test. Those who thought their teacher was attractive did better than those who did not. The study says that attractive instructors were associated with more learning.

In addition, the attractive instructor was said to get better reviews than the less attractive one.

The study was conducted by Murray Millar, an associate professor of psychology at UNLV, and Richard Westfall and Mandy Walsh, both doctorate students in the experimental psychology program. Source...
