Doctor who disappeared 20 years ago found living as a hermit in an Italian forest...

A Spanish doctor who went missing 20 years ago and was declared dead has been found living as a hermit in an Italian forest.

Carlos Sanchez Ortiz de Salazar, 47, was reportedly stumbled across by two weeks ago by two mushroom pickers in a forest near Scarlino, a small town in Tuscany, who described him as having a “dirty face and large beard."

"I am Spanish, my name is Carlos and I have lived here for 20 years,” he told them.

He showed them grubby ID, which they took a picture of, but he refused to be photographed and snapped at them: "Now I must escape."

In 1998 de Salazar disappeared from his home in Sevilla in 1995 during a severe bout of depression. Full story...
