World's highest paid prime minister demands that blogger pays his legal fees...

As if it wasn't bad enough that our Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, is attempting to silence critics by threatening to take legal action against them, PM Lee is also demanding that blogger Roy Ngerng of The Heart Truths pays for the legal fees that PM Lee has incurred.

In the letter of demand served to Roy, PM Lee's lawyer, Davinder Singh, had written that Roy must take down the offending blog post and publish an apology. He also said that Roy must "compensate (PM Lee) by way of damages" as well as "costs" incurred.

Essentially, PM Lee is trying to claim from Roy the cost of serving him this letter of demand which was drafted by expensive, long-time lawyer for the PAP, Davinder Singh:

PM Lee is taking a very heavy handed approach by choosing to threaten legal suits against an ordinary Singaporea instead of simply rebutting him and clearing the air. Full story...
