Pink prisons in Switzerland to calm inmates...

Prisons in Switzerland have been painted pink in an attempt to calm down aggressive inmates.

The new interior decoration, reportedly adopted by around 30 cells, is part of a project called 'Cool Down Pink'.

Psychologist Daniela Spath is very positive about the results of the project, saying "Anger levels can reduce in as little as 15 minutes, though we usually confine a convict to a pink cell for two hours.".

Prisons are not the only lucky benefactors of the face lift with some police stations also having the treatment.

Police in Bienne have four 'drunk tanks' used to hold those arrested for public drunkenness. Full story...
