In Singapore, fast food is really fast! In-N-Out Pop-Up stand sells out after five minutes!!!

How’s this for fast food? In Singapore, 300 In-N-Out burgers were completely sold out in under five minutes. That’s less time than it takes to eat one!

O.K., so people didn’t thank God or even weep openly at this onetime event, but about 300 people were probably crying inside when they walked away hungry and burgerless on Tuesday. In what was held as a promotional event, In-N-Out Burger set up shop in Singapore for just one day. Though it was originally scheduled to stay open for four hours, all the 300 (limited) wristbands ensuring your way to a double-double with animal-style fries were given away before the stand even opened.

The family-owned California burger chain, which insists on using fresh products, has been popping up in some unusual parts of the world in the past year or so: first in Shanghai, then in Sydney and Hong Kong. The one in Australia sold out in a mere 23 minutes.

The company has emphasized the fact that it has no plans to take the chain overseas. Which is why so many embark on pilgrimage-like journeys to the burger joint’s branches in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Texas. Source...
