Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy has been accused by a former colleague of asking for sexual favours while he was in office.
The lurid allegations are being made in a new book by fellow UMP party member Marie-Célile Guillaume. She claims Sarkozy asked a local MP to perform sexual favours on him.
The former president apparently asked the 58-year-old local representative to give him “une gaterie” (literally translated as a little treat).
The alleged incident reportedly occurred when the MP was visiting Sarkozy at the Elysée Palace to ask for funds for a local project. Full story...
