University in India postpones exams because of cricket World Cup final!!!

This may come as music to the ears of collegians torn between exams and the desire to watch the 2011 World Cup final match between India and Sri Lanka at Mumbai. Cricket fever has gripped the Gujarat University (GU) campus. The high-voltage celebrations that erupted in all parts of the city after India trounced Pakistan at the semifinal in Mohali on Wednesday, have convinced the GU authorities to alter the exam schedule. On Thursday, they announced that exams scheduled to take place on Saturday have been postponed. This is all aimed at keeping the cricket fans in the campus happy. More...

  1. It was a great match and it is Team India who has won the world cup after 28 years. Great moment for the players and very good innings from Gambhir and MS Dhoni. Disappointment for the srilankans, but still they played excellent cricket throughout the tournament. Watch the post match presentation of the ICC world Cup 2011.
