Man from Chennai (India) scales Everest to combat child abuse...

With a view to create an awareness on preventing child abuse, a 26-year-old Tamilian has 'successfully scaled' Mount Everest.

An avid mountaineer, Sandhosh Kumar achieved the feat on May 23 when he scaled the peak, Indira Vetrivel, a family friend of Kumar, said.

She told PTI that Kumar, brought up in Chennai and now employed in Singapore, has returned to base camp at 5000 metres and was expected to return home later this week. More...
