South African president Zuma under fire for fathering child out of wedlock...

Claims that South Africa's President Jacob Zuma has fathered a child with the daughter of one of his friends have sparked a new political row over his sexual conduct.

The country's main opposition party has accused the President of undermining his own government's safe sex campaign, designed to limit the spread of HIV and AIDS.

The South African Sunday Times newspaper reported that Mr Zuma, 67, is the father of a baby girl born to 39-year-old divorcee Sonona Khoza in October.

Ms Khoza is the daughter of Irvin Khoza, a close friend of the President and the chairman of the organising committee for the 2010 World Cup. More...
