A Rajkot woman on Monday filed a case against her father-in-law alleging that he had raped her after doctors declared her husband as impotent. The woman in her complaint said her husband had agreed to let his father rape her so that they could have a child.
The woman also registered a complaint against her mother-in-law, husband, brother-in-law and husband’s uncle of conspiracy and physical abuse. She told the police she was raped about two months back and it took her time to come out of the trauma and file the complaint.
The complaint was filed at Rajkot’s Morbi taluka police station, where the woman’s parents live. Apart from rape she also accused her father-in-law Vimal Gopiyani of physical torture and attempting to kill her. More...
