Arsenal fan creates lake in India to tackle drought! Wow!

An Arsenal fan who went to India on holiday and stayed to do volunteer work is being hailed as a miracle worker by locals after creating a lake in one of the country's most drought ridden regions.

Andre Ling, 23, from London, taught locals how to collect water using rainwater tanks and atmospheric water generators - and then to feed it into a central reservoir that now supplies water for the entire village of Delwara in the drought-riddled region of the Udaipur district in India's northeastern Rajasthan state.

"It was a satisfying effort. I had some local villagers for support," says die hard Arsenal fan Andre, who came to India more than five years ago as a tourist and eventually stayed in Udaipur. More...
