Italy's first family soap opera was back on the front pages today after prime minister Silvio Berlusconi's wife said his party's selection of shapely, beautiful women to run in EU elections was a "shamelessly trashy" process and "entertainment for the emperor".
Veronica Berlusconi, 52, who has publicly lamented her husband's eye for younger women in the past, also accused her 72-year-old husband of going to the birthday party of an 18-year-old woman in Naples but not attending his children's coming-of-age-parties. More...
