20 years ago, the Hillsbourough soccer tragedy...

Not a sound, not even a cough, as 43,466 fans stood in total silence for 60 poignant seconds at Anfield yesterday to remember the dead of Hillsborough.

As the players took to the pitch for the match against Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool supporters sang an emotional rendition of the club's anthem You'll Never Walk alone.

They then applauded as former Reds defender Stephen Warnock, who now plays for Blackburn, carried a red and white wreath on to the pitch and laid it in front of the Kop. More...
